Uniforms and Equipment.
The uniforms and equipment of the POA were a mixture of Soviet, French, Italian and of course German.
Field equipment can be a combination of Soviet and German, but as a group we work on the pinciple of "less is more". It would not be correct to portray a POA infantryman in the same equipment as his German co-beligerant.
It was normal to see soldiers wearing a mix of equipment and if seving on the eastern front most battalions would have a predominance of Soviet equipment. Only the 600th and 650th infantry divisions see to have had full sets of German equipment. Rather than list all the variants of basic equipment here, the details can be found at our 13th Guards sister site or the other WARS groups (they sites are on the links page).
The uniforms were like the eqipment, a mixture of the conventional and individual Battalion designs. Here are some examples of Italian, German, French and Romanian influenced uniforms.
